February PTO News 2012

Family Fun Night: This fun event is scheduled for Friday, February 3rd from 6-8pm. Where else can you have so much family fun for only $5.00? We need at least 15, committed, families to have this event. Please check your e-mail and/or our website for any cancellations.
Open Registrations/ Open House: Registration is now open to the pubic. If you did not save your spot for next year, you may want to do so soon. We will be hosting an Open House on Wednesday, February 15th from 6-7pm and Thursday, February 16th from 7-8pm. Please spread the word about our school.
Joe Corbi’s: This is one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. Please look in your child’s cubby, starting Monday, for a Corbi’s handout. Sales begin on February 5th and orders are due the 27th. There are tons of items to choose from. Pick up date, for all orders, is Thursday, March 8th from 4-6pm. Please let us know if you are available to help with order sorting at 3:00 on the 8th. Thank you, in advance, for your help and support.
Class trips: The 4-year-old class will be visiting the Parkesburg Library and Pomeroy Post Office on February 8th. The kindergarten will be going to Kitchen Kettle on the 16th. Please check you class newsletters for details.
Valentine’s Day Parties: Please note that the 3’s and pre-k have changed their party date from the school calendar. They will be celebrating on Tuesday the 14th. The 4’s and kindergarten will be keeping their parties on the 10th.
Cat in the Hat: We will be having a special visitor on February 29th. The Cat in the Hat will visit the 4-year-old classes in the morning and the pre-k and kindergarten classes in the afternoon. This is a lot of fun for the kids. If anyone is available to paint his face in the morning, please see Miss. Jen.
Ash Wednesday: Please note that classes will begin at 9:30 on Wednesday, February 22nd due to the 8:30 mass for Ash Wednesday.
Beef and Beer: This fun filled event will be held on March 10th. We need your help to make it happen. We will be having our first meeting at 6:00pm on Wednesday, February 8th. This beef and beer will be the last event for the band Skin Tight. After this night, they will be moving on to different adventures. Come out and see then for the last time!
Student Teacher: What a compliment to our school and teachers. We have a student teacher! You will see Miss Deb in the kindergarten in the mornings. She will also be seen hanging out in Miss Jen’s room. We welcome her with open hearts and wish her the best of luck in her studies.
End of year memory item: This year we will have green blankets for our memory item. They will be screen printed with our logo and school name. More information to come at a later date.

Don’t forget to save your soda tabs, Turkey Hill milk caps, and box tops. There are drop off containers on the yellow shelf by our door.
